I was born and raised in Caracas Venezuela where I went to law school for 3 years before coming to the USA to find my new home. My first Yoga experience was with my mom. I remember she was always reading inspirational books and was practicing yoga and meditation. She tried to share her practice and knowledge with me and my brother (many times we would fall sleep while she meditated). Years went by without yoga being actively present in my life but my early introduction created a path for me to travel once I was ready…. I have always been athletic but suffered from lower back pain and I used to have BIG KNOTS on my upper back from stress. This situation worsened with the stress of helping care for my grandmother who had suffered a stroke. In 2004 I found the healing power of Yoga when I needed it the most, helping me heal physically as well as emotionally.
My passion for Yoga carried over into teaching. I started my first 200 hrs of Yoga Training in 2005. In October 2006 I had the wonderful opportunity to go to a Yoga conference where I deepened my love for this practice. I continued to study by participating in a number of workshops that include renowned Yogis such as Seane Corn, Desiree Rambaugh, Judith Lasater, Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest, Rodger Cole, Rod Stryker and Twee Merrigan.
Some of my certifications are:
